What is it that your business does and how does it differ to others?
Exclusivia supports clients all over the UK to find their new horse, from happy hackers to competition horses and everything in between! First and foremost we are an Equine Agency that is not a yard / dealer, which enables us to work with clients anywhere in the UK and not just a small geographical area. A big advantage is that we liaise with both private sellers and traders to find you a new horse, which gives you more options and a wider variety to choose from. Our packages can be tailored to you dependent upon the level of support you require, and all have flat affordable fees – no commission is added to or taken at any point, so you always know where you stand financially! It is a big decision to buy a horse and an even bigger decision to select a business help you on this journey, which is why it is good to know we offer trust and credibility as we are a fully secured and registered company, plus verified with Equinnect as a business!
What is the process for horse owners?
Initially a phone call appointment will need to be booked in where we can discuss your requirements. An Equine Agent will allocate the package most suited to you, talk through how we work and answer any questions you may have. There are additional support options you can choose from so you can tailor the level of support you require, whether you are a first time buyer, just coming back into the equine market or more experienced equestrian, we understand one size does not fit all!
Then, the next steps are to complete our online form via our website along with starter paperwork which will be sent to you electronically and then the fun begins - we start the process of sourcing your new horse or pony!

What are the advantages to using Exclusivia?

Our Agents save clients a lot of valuable time in hours and offer a wider choice of horses in the way we work
What was the inspiration behind your business idea?
I have seen and heard personally many times from friends, family and other equestrians how they have struggled with finding horses, not knowing where to start, what to look for, what to ask, not knowing any processes, or having the confidence to do this on their own as they do not have any support around them. I saw a gap in the market and wanted to create a trusted go to business for all equestrians, no matter how experienced they are. Finding a horse is a big task in itself and can be very time consuming, and daunting. Plus trying to fit all this in with general day to day life, work and family commitments can be hard to juggle, which is where we step in and do this for you.
Tell us about your most rewarding aspect so far.
Wow, I cannot choose, every client journey is very rewarding in itself! Being privileged and part of that process of seeing each end result is the most rewarding part of our role and as a business. From the ‘yes’ this is the horse for me, vetting days awaiting results and to the day their new horse is on route – the excitement you feel for your client is lovely, and very rewarding every single time!
Has the market changed at all since your launch? If so, how?
Yes horse prices have increased, specially since COVID. There is always a natural rise and fall in the market too depending upon time of year.
How have you developed and grown as a business since you started?
Exclusivia initially exceeded the business plan that was put in place when we went ‘live’ which was amazing but then acknowledged different additional areas of support were needed for clients, which is why we designed additional bolt on packages. This enables clients to pick and choose how much support they require throughout their journey, some examples are support with booking vetting’s, transport, viewings and paperwork involved when they are purchasing a horse. We are always open to change and development which we think is paramount to keep up with an ever changing market.
Business to Business is also a key importance for us at Exclusivia, building relationships and a good repour, and celebrating equestrian businesses together! Which is why it has been our pleasure to get involved and be an official sponsor for the Equestrian Business Awards!
