Samantha Osborne is a Yorkshire based freelance rider, equestrian influencer (Brand Ambassador for Posh Muckerz, Pommel, Tidy Tack, Need4Tweed, Dakota Equestrian, Blue Chip Feed, Treehouse Sporting Colours, Luxe Equestrian, Unicorn Browbands and The Horse Feed UK podcast plus sponsored rider for Equilibrium Products, Amy Griffiths Photography, Richmond EC, Equishine and Pegasus Jewellery) and freelance equestrian journalist. She currently writes for Showing World and Native Pony Magazine. In 2014, she won the TSM BETA International award for Amateur Sponsored Rider.

Samantha has been involved in the horse world since the age of 6. She mainly competes in showing over the last two years has made the switch to British Showjumping. She has qualified novice mare Leyward Diamond Jubilee for the second rounds for British Novice and is now jumping Discovery classes. Samantha has worked on a number of professional yards to gain experience riding different horses from show ponies to racehorses to Grand Prix dressage horses. She has spent the last 12 months breaking and schooling a variety of horses and intends to continue this in 2022. Some of her favourite memories include riding in a charity flat race at Southwell Racecourse; gaining the ride on a show cob at Royal Dublin Horse Show; competing in the Ladies Side Saddle Class at The Great Yorkshire Show, and qualifying for HOYS 2012 in the main area at Burghley Horse Trials, where she went on to finish 7th at the final, and 9th the following season.

Samantha has judged and competed at HOYS/ RIHS / county level. She also teaches freelance, including at clinics. Over the last ten years, she has tried to give back to the equestrian world as a judge or steward. In particular, she has enjoyed ride judging in a range of classes for HOYS S4AS classes, BSPS RIHS PBA classes, Equifest Hack Final and ROR Hickstead classes.

Samantha recently completed a Level 5 Equine Behavioural Science qualification.
