SAMANTHA OSBORNE

Samantha Osborne is a North Yorkshire based freelance rider, equestrian journalist and equestrian influencer (representative of brands including: Fairfax and Favor, Harry Hall Equestrian, Dakota Equestrian, Blue Chip Feed, Pine Vet Physiotherapy, Treehouse Sporting Colours, Richmond EC etc). In 2014, she won the TSM BETA International award for Amateur Sponsored Rider, for help relationship with Equilibrium Products. Following this win, she began to write for a range of national magazines, including: Horse, Showing World and Native Pony. In recent years, she has modelled for companies including Couronne Equestrian and Synovium Supplements. On spare weekends around her full time position as a secondary school English teacher, you may spot her with a camera working for Amy Griffiths as an event photographer!

Horse obsessed since the age of 6, Samantha has competed in a range of equestrian disciplines from HOYS level showing success to in more recent years switching to British Showjumping (her passion and main focus now) as well as British Dressage. Samantha has worked on a number of professional yards to gain experience riding different horses from racehorses to Grand Prix dressage horses. Samantha has judged for a range of showing societies up to RIHS and HOYS qualifier level, and this year she also became a British Dressage judge after enjoying her experience at BD Nationals after qualifying at Aintree Area Festivals. Her fondest competition memories are on Stevey's Lad who she qualified for HOYS twice in the Racehorse to Riding Horse class and was placed on both occasions. 

Samantha gives back to the equestrian world in numerous ways from teaching at clinics to raising money for various equestrian charities to jump judging at Richmond Equestrian Centre. Finally, she has completed a range of qualifications including Level 5 Equine Behavioural Science and Level 4 Lameness and Rehabilitation.
